FAQ’s

How do you help people who are nervous?

We will do what it takes to help you relax.  We have overhead TVs with Netflix or cable, headphones, warm blankets, complimentary bottled water, essential oils, Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas), as well as oral sedatives or IV sedation if desired.  Best of all, we are willing to take our time with you until you feel comfortable.

What if I am embarrassed about my mouth?

Please don’t be.  We have seen it all.  Whether you have a ton of problems in your mouth or not, we never want you to feel like we are being judgemental.  In fact, Dr. Bass or Dr. Watson will likely let you know that he has had almost every dental procedure possible done in his own mouth from not getting off to a great start early in life with his oral health.  Come on in and let us show you what modern dentistry can do to help you get back to where you want to be and not be embarrassed any longer.

What is cosmetic dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is the treatment that improves health and beauty of one’s smile. Almost every dental procedure has two aspects: esthetics and function. High-quality cosmetic dentists, like Dr. Michael Bass, take both of these elements into consideration so that you may relax knowing your teeth will not only look great but enjoy long-term results.

How do I know when I am due for a checkup?

We strive to ensure that you will always know what the steps are in your treatment. Dr. Bass and Dr. Watson and our hygienists will help you understand what interval you should follow to maintain proper oral health. We will schedule your next appointment before you leave the office. We will also email a reminder card and give you a call when you’re due for your next visit.  But, please give us a call if you have any questions or feel like it is time for a visit.

Do you accept referrals?

Yes. Your referral is the greatest compliment you can give us.  We look forward to treating your family and friends with the same high-quality care we provide for you.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?

There are many ways we put your safety first:

  • Using gloves, masks, and providing you with protective eyewear
  • Complete sterilization and disinfection of all instruments and surfaces
  • Each room is cleaned between patients

You can rest comfortably with Dr. Bass and his team knowing that they do everything possible to ensure your safety.

Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that big of a deal?

Yes. Flossing daily helps to eliminate the bacteria that’s on your teeth in order to keep your gums more healthy.  This bacteria can get into your bloodstream and cause heart disease. If your gums bleed easily or look a little red and puffy, then you have inflammation there.  Stay on top of your health and add years to your teeth and your life by flossing regularly.
